New and Used Standard Cab Mixer Truck - Concrete Truck For Sale with Concrete Mixer Trucks

Mixer trucks are also known as in-transit mixers. Materials will be mixed and loaded into the tank. It begins mixing at one location. As it travels to the work site, the mixer keeps rotating to keep the concrete wet. Without the rotation, the concrete will get hard and unusable.

The mixer tank rotates in one direction to pull the material into the drum, known as charging. Once it is time to use the concrete, it will rotate in the opposite direction. All mixer trucks are working within a 90-minute radius from the plant. The concrete has only so much time before the rotation won’t keep it from hardening.

Rear discharge mixers need a driver and a chute person. They work together to move the chute and truck to disperse the concrete where it needs to go. Newer models have a front discharge that only requires the driver. There are controls inside the cab that allows the driver to move the chute and truck as needed.
