Very reliable engine! The Eaton 8 speed 8LL manual transmission shifts through all gears nicely. The IMT 17/117SL K4 hydraulic knuckleboom operates as it should via manual control station and wireless remote. It has two full power hydraulic outriggers installed that function as they should. This truck is clean and very presentable for the miles/year. The frame and underside is very clean with minor surface rust. Some minor peeling present and light surface rust but no major rot or areas of concern. The exterior of the truck is in overall good condition with minor damages and flaws to be expected. It was a very nice truck when it came in that did not need much mechanical/cosmetic work. The truck is currently set up as a cab and chassis leaving you the open canvas to build a bed that suits your needs or run it as is. The exterior, interior, frame/underside all shows really well. The Cummins 5.9L turbo diesel engine starts right up, sounds good and is very quiet. Upon listing this truck it was very cold (~25 degrees) and the truck started right up without hesitation. The 7 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly and as it should. The clutch feels strong. No warning lights are illuminated on the dash. The interior shows well with no major rips or tears in the seat. The frame/underside has been sandblasted and painted in a rust inhibiting black paint. We usually sandblast and paint our cab & chassis trucks to knock off the light surface rust and to protect/preserve the frame for the next owner. Minor pitting on the frame can be seen from the sandblasting but no areas of concern are present. This is a hard to find truck that is well optioned and ready to go. Great truck that you could hop in and get right to work. This truck would be a great candidate for a service body, hooklift, flatbed, or just as a hauler truck.
