New and Used Box Truck - Straight Truck For Sale

A box truck – straight truck is a truck with a large, rectangular cargo area for shipping. These trucks get their name because of their large cargo structures that sit on top of a chassis. The two names are often used interchangeably. They’re also sometimes called box vans, cube trucks, cube vans, or rolling toasters. Unlike tractor trailers, straight trucks aren’t able to move or flex in the middle.

If you need to haul heavy and bulky items, a box truck – straight truck may be just the right choice. These trucks do not have temperature control inside their cargo area, so temperatures can become quite extreme, depending on the weather. Hauling items like appliances, furniture, or commercial equipment is best. Anything that doesn’t require regulated temperature or humidity would be fine.

Because they’re basically an empty shell, you can customize the inside of these trucks according to the cargo you’re hauling. In addition, a variety of features are typically available to help make loading and unloading easier. Double back doors, side doors, floor tracking systems for securing cargo, and ramps are available options.

Box trucks range in size from 10 to 26 feet in length. They also come in different weight classes, from Class 3 to Class 7, carrying from between 12,500 to 33,000 pounds. Commercial movers or retail businesses may use these trucks. They’re also often rented by individual consumers for the purpose of moving big items or large quantities. Common manufacturers include Ford, Chevy, and Chrysler, among others.
