Used 2008 Freightliner Dump Truck
COLUMBIA

2008 Freightliner Columbia 120 Quad Axle Dump Truck. During the course of the past three years I have either replaced or rebuilt 90% of the truck it CURRENTLY WORKS EVERY DAY and is driven by the owner.

527,100 miles on the chassis, 26,100 GVW, double frame, FRESH ENGINE AND DRIVELINE (engine replaced in March of 2022 ), 20 K front steer axle w/ twin steering boxes (changed four weeks ago, upgraded from a 12.5 K), 20 K tie rods and drag links, new front drums, brakes, slack adjusters, new power steering pump,, reservoir, all power steering lines and hoses, 8 newer drive tires, steers are not in bad shape, new tarp kit, also under the hood: the turbo is new and was changed during the engine swap (see picture). We swapped out an EGR controlled turbo for a manual turbo. The radiator, intercooler and air conditioning condenser are all brand new (as well as a bunch of lines and all clamps for the above). The engine was in-framed 80,000 miles before I purchased it (The engine is from Vanderhaag’s). The engine is paired with an Eaton Fuller 10 Speed Manual Transmission. The combination of the new engine, the install and all of the parts that were replaced in the process totals $26,000 alone (I have receipts for everything), new clutch, pressure plate and throw out nearing, Behind that, 90% of the drive line has been rebuilt or replaced to include custom Merritor Rockwell 4.11 rear differentials (built by Adelman’s in Canton, Ohio) along with the power divider and drive shafts (Diffs three years ago, driveshafts, over the last two years or so). The drive shaft directly behind the transmission is still stock, however, everything behind that are custom heavy duty slider shafts and carrier bearing assemblies (built by Driveline 1 Columbus, Ohio) for this truck. I replaced all four of the Torque Rods connected to the rear diffs (two lateral and two horizontal). I have also replaced the rubber shocks on the walking beams at least once in the past two years. The slack adjusters on the drives are probably a year old or slightly less. Inside of the truck, the throttle pedal is new and the driver’s seat is about a year old (the seat is about $1800 new, leather, the works).
